Banana Plantations
On some tours, we visit the plantations. The packing houses are private properties, and we cannot get in. Our guide will explain the activity from the side road.
In Case a cruise ship missed Port
- You get a Full Refund of you Money.
- In the case of “NO SHOW” the service will be charged according to our regular fees.
If a tour is Canceled
If a tour is canceled, which can be due to different situations, you have the options:
- A] to opt for one of the other tours
- B] a Full Refund of your Money.
This can happen if for example if the water level of the Bananito River is too high to cross the River and enter the jungle. Usually, this particular tour will be changed to the Cahuita National Park tour, based upon on the client’s preference.
Meeting Point
The meeting point is at the Main Entrance of the cruise pier [on the main street]. It is about one block from your ship dock and a 5-minute walk. You will see our staff holding a sign with a billboard of Tour Guide Costa Rica [green and orange colors].

30 Minutes After Ship Arrival (Earliest Tour 8:00 AM). Please be on time!
What to bring with You
We recommend opting for long pants, comfortable clothing, and sensible closed-toe walking shoes. It’s advisable to use insect repellent, wear sunglasses, a hat, and apply sunscreen. Carrying a backpack is recommended to store cameras and other personal items. If the tour includes swimming opportunities, bring your swimsuit, towel, and an extra shirt with you.
