#1 Cahuita Fishing Tours | Trolley Fishing with Local Fishermen
Trolley Fishing, also called trolling, is the best fishing experience and technique in Cahuita. It involves using one or more fishing lines with lures or bait fish to catch them in the water. Trolling is an exciting technique in which the lines move behind the boat.
A variety of predatory fish, such as Yellowfin Tuna, Mackerel, Kingfish, Barracuda, Tuna Bonito, Dolfin Fish [Mahi-mahi], Tarpon, and, if lucky, a merlin, can be caught.
Live Bait Fishing involves using small fish to attract predator fish; it can be done with different kinds of live bait, such as small fish, crabs, shrimp, worms, and more.
It is done in many ways; fishing with lures is akin to hunting, while bait fishing is more like trapping.
In other words, the bait fisher sets out their "traps" (baited hooks) and waits for the predator fish to stumble upon them. In contrast, a lure fisher can cover more water in less time!
For the trolley fishing with "live bait", fresh or Sardines are caught. Trolley Fishing is the most exciting part of Cahuita Fishing!
